Matcha Gone Mainstream
With the increasing popularity of matcha, there is a loss in quality and connection to its cultural roots. Partnering with my friend Brendon, who has a passion and skill for making the drink, we created these graphics for his brand “Dino Matcha”. We were inspired by so many different aspects of asian culture and wanted it to shine through, not just the drink but the branding as well. You will see illustrations and fonts inspired by the “Hirono” brand and color choices that reflect the importance of the color of your matcha.
2016
As someone who studies advertising and has worked in social media marketing, the importance of keeping up with trends has become apparent to me. For this shoot, I wanted to capture the 2016 vibe that has resurged in 2026 to promote the brand’s summer pop-up events and flavors.
Picnic
With this shoot, I wanted the brand’s message to be clear: “We are about community”. As the cafe works to bring people together centered around quality, connection, and genuine experiences, I wanted to show that through the photos.
